Check out around 2:15 to 3:15. Six NARCs directly into a mostly stationary opponent. Not a single one connects. This is just the most blatant one I have seen lately. There have been other examples too. So my question is, is it just me or is something amiss?

The Dire at 2:15 is in a ECM bubble. NARC does not work inside a active bubble. You prolly NARCd him and it would be visible once he leaves the bubble.

Edit: AMS will shoot NARC without triggering a effect sometimes thats why its futile to try and NARC a mech standing in a group of AMSd allies.

It's not just hit reg, it's lag, hsr, and desyncs making the game unplayable for many for over a month now

Ya it is really bad. You can tell by the number of odd ball lights running around. I used to be able to alpha 8c-med lasers on a lights legs and they would pop. Now they just keep running with little damage.

HSR is quite bad but in the video shown, its clearly not the problem. I see multiple mechs under ECM, most likely it covered the DW as well. Could be the KFX thats to be seen at 2:41.

But hitregistration is still bad, today a gauss round hit my 100% fresh STK on the left arm, warped through it and hit again on right arm. Very rare for that to happen, most times the rounds dont do any damage at all, despite the animation/sound for a hit beeing played.

As for the narcs. You can see as soon as the ecm kitfox walks away from the dire you narc shows up @3:30

Funny Thing it seems worse for Lasers right now than SRMs.... makes no sense...

HSR wasn't implemented for lasers I believe (Id have to search to double check that) because they are the only hit scan weapon. Unfortunately due to everything being server authenticated, it means lag is still very much a problem with Lasers.
Honestly Im tired of having to lag shoot with lasers and pretend they are like projectiles to actually register damage on light mechs (Id take a video to prove this if my computer wasn't so ******).

Got hit with a duel Gauss today... didn't even scratch my paint. Laid down a blistering array of firepower into a commando and im now thinking all the slugs just replaced his existing armor.
Starting to think the only thing that actually works these days is the buy MC button.

As stated above, NARC cancels the ECM on the holder, but will not break through the bubble otherwise. You need to NARC the carrier.

AMS will also take it down, but I didn't spot any of that. Just the ECM cancelling the NARC.


As for your friends target info "bug", you only get that with LoS. UAVs and NARC don't give you that information.

Hmm, I've been hoping it's just lag but I've been feeling like damage is not properly transferring from missing torso to CT/Legs on clan mechs, along with hit boxes.

That would explain it. I had a misunderstanding of how NARC works in the game I guess. Odd that it cancels ECM on the NARC'd mech but not on one covered by ECM. Reality has never been a strong suit of Battletech though. :)

It's next to impossible to blame any particular weapon system or mechanic due to the game's current state. The lag, desyncs, etc. wreak havoc with any kind of hit registration. The game is currently, and has been for over a month now, "borked". It's just becoming more widespread. A month ago it was "check your ISP" or "L2P newb", then it was "check you pc", now it's widespread enough that it's apparent it's not the individual.

Oddly, I have been able to poke a few Clanners at around 800M with my PPC... Sure the damage is next to nil but watching the sparking IS gratifying.
